My RadRover 6+ step thru blew a battery on August 27 after 169 miles and one month ownership. I never touched the key to the charging port…do not even carry the key on board. Rad customer support requested two videos and 4 pictures and and interrogatory about 4 questions. News flash: the battery just burned out like a light bulb, no pop, no warning, nothing. To make matters worse, my battery serial number starts with “CAP” and apparently is not fixable with the 10 amp micro fuse. I felt like Rad support was practically insinuating that I caused the failure somehow. On Sept 17 I received a new battery also “CAP” serial number covered under warranty. 21 days to replace a defective battery under warranty, and no hope of replacing the fuse if the new battery poops out. There is a guy on eBay that replaces the BDLG serial batteries with new 10am fuse and sells on eBay. At one time he had 12 available! The Rad customer support team was courteous and professional throughout; however, it was a slow and excruciating process 21 days, 21 days. For my own peace of mind I picked up one of the eBay batteries, so I don’t expect to be dry docked again. All I did was love my RR6+; now feel wary and somewhat jilted with the battery situation, but I am happy to be back on the road again
